Caio Mariano is a lawyer with more than 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment sector. He is the firm’s managing partner and has vast experience in all matters related to copyright, intellectual property, privacy and the internet. Caio is known in the market for assisting several high-profile companies and artists in the audiovisual, music, publishing and advertising industries. With deep knowledge of regulatory matters involving the ANCINE, ECAD, CONAR and INPI, Caio assists his clients in all kinds of contractual and judicial issues related to these Brazilian regulators. Caio Mariano Advogados was founded by him in 2017.

Caio Fujiyama has almost 15 years of experience in this area and is particularly recognized for his work with audiovisual and advertising productions in general. He has been a Partner at Caio Mariano Advogados since 2017 and, before that, he worked with copyright at Passarella Advogados and with civil law at Prudente, Albuquerque, Ribeiro e Maringolo Advogados. Caio has extensive experience in contractual matters related to cultural projects and entertainment productions in Brazil, especially those regarding the production of audiovisual works financed both through tax incentive mechanisms and direct funding. He has an LL.B. from Universidade Mackenzie.

JULIANA PERISSINOTTO

Juliana Perissinotto is an IP, Media, and Entertainment lawyer with an LL.B. from PUC-SP (2017) and has participated in an academic exchange program at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto, Portugal (2015). She holds a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property, Entertainment Law, Media, and Fashion Law from ESA OAB/SP (2022) and a master’s degree in Intellectual Property and Cultural Activities Law from CEIPI, Strasbourg, France (2023). Juliana also completed a professional internship in the areas of intellectual property, media, and new technologies at the French law firm DDG – Deprez & Guignot Associés in Paris (2023). She is bilingual in English and French.

HENRIQUE COELHO

Henrique Coelho is a Media & Entertainment lawyer with an LL.B. from PUC-RJ (2011), an MBA in Business Management from FGV (2016), and a postgraduate degree in Contracts from EBRADI (2021). He worked as a lawyer for Globosat / Globo before joining Caio Mariano Advogados. He also worked at Schmidt, Lourenço e Kingston Advogados, Grupo Technos, and PwC. Bruna Alves is an IP lawyer with an LL.B. from PUC-Goiás (2017) and a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property and New Business from FGV Law SP (2020). She worked as a lawyer for Chenut, Oliveira and Santiago Advogados, and in a secondment for Warner Bros Discovery focusing on the entertainment industry, before joining Caio Mariano Advogados. She speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.

GIOVANNA CABALLERO

Giovanna is an IP, Media & Entertainment lawyer with an LL.B. from FGV SP (2022), and an academic exchange period at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi, in Milan. She studies Film at the International Cinema Academy (AIC), and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property, Entertainment Law, Media and Fashion at OAB/ESA, in Sao Paulo. Giovanna worked as a lawyer at Drummond & Neumayr, in the areas of intellectual property and media law, participating in the legal advising and clearance of film productions, and as a trainee at Demarest Advogados, in the areas of Banking and M&A/Corporate. She speaks Portuguese and English.

ANITA RIBEIRO

Anita Ribeiro is an Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment lawyer. She graduated in Law from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in 2020. She worked at Maluf & Moreno Advogados, focusing on intellectual property and entertainment law, where she provided legal counsel and clearance for film and advertising productions before joining Caio Mariano Advogados. She is fluent in English and has an intermediate proficiency in Spanish.

WILSON SOUZA
